My soon to be ex is in the service and we have a beautiful little baby boy. I am wondering if the military will make him pay child support. We have a unique situation on our hands.
My husband is not the biological father of the child, I was sexually assaulted. He knows he is not the biological father, he even took me to the base police station to report the incident, and he gave a statment himself. He did put his name on the birth certificate because there is a law stating that if you were married but the child is the resault of assault that the husband can be on the certificate.
I am wondering if the military will let him off paying support. He made a statment before the baby was born (to the MPs) that he would be assuming full responsibility for the child, and that he knew of the situation. So I am curious if that statement will hold up in court. It was a written statement.
Furthermore I am wondering about Alimony. I have recently learned that I have a Cardiac condition that will affect my ability to work, and I rely on what very little he send me right now, to make ends meet(400 a month) My ex is an E-5 with over 4 in if this helps.

First-My state allows alimony if one has a disability affecting the ability to work.Which I do.I have a heart problem and am waiting serious surgery.
Second- My husband had forbidden me to give the baby up for adoption when i got pregnant. And my religion forbids Abortion. I love my son unconditionally regardless of his parentage.
Third-He never adopted the baby because in circumstances of assault, adoption is not necesary so long as the assault happened while you were married.
Fourth- We are getting divorced because he is abusive towards myself and the child. He is also neglectful and would often times take the debit and credit cards from me, and not buy baby supplies or food. I ended up fleeing the state in which we lived, to go back to my home state 700 miles away. He is extremely violent, has no personal hygiene and is addicted to sex, he has been in trouble with the service for his violent side, and his hygiene issue. The sex addiction is currently being
