Chicken Strips or No Chicken Strips

I notice that most folks that ride bikes always look at other riders tires to see how good of a rider they are.

Well here are my tires after some hard riding...

Some people call them chicken strips.

What do you guys call them?

They are chicken strips if there is a strip of the tyre that has not touched the road
