Chevy Trailblazer brake problem?

I have a 04 Chevy TB and when ever I stop (stop signs, red lights etc) as I'm braking it feels like I'm pumping my brakes, even though I'm smoothly and gently pressing my brake pedal. I bought this SUV from a Chevy dealership and it is under warranty and it passed their inspection, I bought this like 2 weeks ago and It did it then too, is this normal???
thanks, so I can go back to the dealership and betch them out about putting my family at risk and selling me a unsafe certified used car?? Maybe I can ask them what else DID'NT they check? I want to come out of this situation on top and maybe a few bonuses.
 
that is not normal. your brakes might be weakening. you have a big SUV and those are harder to stop than smaller cars. my grandmother had the same problem with her acura legend. you should have that checked out by a body shop before you hear the sqeak of your brakes every time you stop (if you dont hear that already). eventually, your brakes will give out on you resulting in a crash. you should get that checked out as soon as possible.
 
It sounds to me like the rotors are warped. It will cause the brakes to pulse, especially when applied lightly. The other thing that could cause this is malfunctioning ABS, although I think you would see an ABS warning light if this was the case. Have the brakes inspected and checked for wear. If necessary, turn the rotors, and replace the pads. As long as there is not any grinding or squealing from worn out pads, it isn't that dangerous, but it will reduce your braking efficiency somewhat. The dealer should be able to true them up for you easily. Tell them you feel "pulsing" in the brake pedal, and they should know what to do.
