Chevy Tahoe charging system?

Hi I've got a 2007 Chevy Tahoe and I am going to put a 15" Fi BL in the back powered by either a Sundown 1500d or a AQ 1200d. Im wondering if thats too much wattage for my stock charging system to keep up with or will I be okay? I really dont want to upgrade anything so if its not possible to run it then i will just have to looking into something with alittle less power. Thanks
 
its not whether your factory system can keep up. its that your amp will only get what it can from your charging system . so 1000w amp might sound like 900 watts because you charging system can't give it the power it needs. other side effects are dimming headlights and dash lights.
 
I agree with chester. The truck probably has a 140 amp alt, which is pretty decent for a 1200 watt amp. Upgrade your "big three" wiring. Its easy and super cheap, even free if you have wires laying around.
