Chevrolet decided to go bland a la Camry when they replaced the Lumina with the Malibu (not that the Lumina was exciting to begin with), but it's an honest-to-goodness Chevrolet.
And despite it being boring, it's a very competent car that will serve you well if you want a toaster on wheels.
