Chevy Equinox emergency brake?

Ok I'm looking at cars from Chevy. Trailblazer or Equinox. I really like the Equinox. I've found 1 near my area for $8,000. I've looked at pictures but there seems to be no emergency brake near the middle console. Does the Equinox have a emergency brake. If not can I get one installed between the 2 front seats.
 
All vehicles sold in the US (and most countries) have a parking brake. It's mandatory.
If it's not near the center cosole it's either a floor pedal to the drivers left or a pull out handle to the right of the steering column.
Can't remember which because it's been awhile since I worked on an Equinox, but I promise it has one!
