Chevy Cobalt check engine light?

Take the car to the shop and have them reset the computer. In some cases, the light will reset itself after about 100 miles driving, depending on what the problem was that was fixed.
 
I have an 06 Chevy cobalt. It would seem the check engine light came on and it will not go off. The car runs fine and we fixed the part that showed up. Anyone know what is going on.
