Chevy 350 versus 454?

I'm goin to get a block and rebuild it all the wayup for torque prioty. Mid range (2500 rpm). And high hp. Low end torque is a good factor I want to keep in mind. This will go in a muscle car, one I haven't picked yet. Any ideas on that will help to. Which wud be better a 350 for this or 454 or maybe one I don't have listed that's chevy
 
a 350 is more common, there will be more parts and cheaper parts. 454 is a big block. If you want more torque than you can shake a stick at, the 454 will be the way to go. You could always go for the 502 as well :)
