my chevy suburban has a slow rythmic tapping..only when driving(it wont do it at all when idling even if i rev it)it sounds like it might be from the passenger tire but like i said i cant get it to do it in idle only when going down the road at highway speed so dunno how to check it LOL...its 2 wheel drive and has 148,000 miles on it....its a slow tapping like one per second and doesnt increase with engine speed....could it be front end related or should i be worrying about driving it due to engine problems???
its not the tires as ive checked them out already

I have a 2001 suburban and i had a problem that sounds like yours. My problem was that my inner axle (the part that spins when i go down the highway) was rubbing against the axle housing. I figured with me just let it keep doing it until i break the axle then go down to the junkyard and pick another one.
