Chevy 350 small block performance HELP?

I have an 80 Z/28 Camaro with a 350 5.7 liter V8 engine. A new carb (don't know what make) was installed by the previous owner. It makes about 200 HP (quoted by the previous owner). A gasket started to leak so my dad and I just decided it was time to rebuild the engine. (We've only rebuilt a 4 cylinder camry to stock specs) I used this car everyday and would like to rebuild it to where I can take it to the track on the weekends but still be able to use it at least every other day. So what are the necessary parts to get at a reasonable price to have a street performance car? Thanks

This is a hard question to answer, because it all really depends on 3 things, time, money and what you want. im guess ing you wanna do it quickly, cheaply and have it pushing decent power, say 275-300? if thats your goal i would say keep the stock crank, con-rods and pistons, and focus on a Good N/A build, Get a more aggressive cam, and high performance Cylinder heads, matched with a high flow exhaust, intake manifold, and upgrade your ignition to a performance distributror, coil, wires and iridium plugs. that would give you a moderate increase in power, if you still want more, i would suggest a positive-displacement supercharger, as you will probably enjoy the low-end torque.
and if your ever up in NH we should race when i finish my build :) -99 Saab 9-3 with 300hp/320ft/lb of tq.
