Chevrolet Cruze Or Toyota Corolla Altis?

Heloo, i am planning to buy a car around 11-13 lakhs range...I have shortlisted 2 cars chevrolet cruze and toyota corolla altis 1.8g(They just made some changes to the old corolla).. I prefer cruze because it is diesel,has a milage 18kmp and it's looks great,but the only problem is the company GM.I've heard that Gm in india is very good and is going strong.Is it true??Civic on the otherhand has less ground clearance and milage of 6-10kmp so i am not considering it..What do you guys think is the best??
 
Go with the Corolla or the civic. Personally I think GM and Ford cars are good when they are new, but after 50,000 miles, they tend to break down on you. Toyota's on the other hand are very reliable, they can go up to 100.000 miles before you notice any problems (with proper maintenance).
