I just bought this car and the fuel gauge seems to stick. It does not return to zero and when I start the car, it adds the reading to the previous reading making it read too high. Sometimes way past full to the point it interferes with the temperature gauge. It goes down a bit at times but not to zero. Unfortunately the used car warranty only covers the drive train.

I cannot find a 2005 cluster on the internet but I see clusters meant for 2000-2004 models that look identical. Can I use one of these in a 2005?

Has anyone had any luck opening the cluster and trying blowing out the gauge (very gently) in case it is just dirt or something?
