chest and stomach pains, breathing problems

Hi, I am a 20 year old male, 5 ft 9, 11 stone (154 pounds). I drink socially and have been smoking 5 a day for about 8 months.

Over the past two weeks, I have been noticing a range of symptoms.
1. Shortness of breath / struggling to get a 'deep' breath, especially after mild exercise.
2. Chest pains / heaviness in my chest, which can radiate to my shoulders, even top of my arms. These painful periods are usually worse at night, after a meal, or alcohol.
3. Most prominently, stomach pains and some pain below stomach.
4. Feeling of bloated stomach.

Other notes: Sometimes i get 'attacks' where it feels worse, and i think anxiety might contribute to it because it feels like i am having a heart attack when my chest tightens up and heart thuds. Burping seems to offer some relief. Panicing no doubt makes it worse. The stomach pains / bloating seems to be present all the time, especially during the day. It can be exasperated by eating. To be honest I have not been eating great of late, usually eating jsut before i go to bed. I have very mild asthma, but inhaler offers no relief. I have tried Gaviscon heartburn tablets and they seem to have little effect.

Does anyone know the problem? I know i shoulkd go to the doctor but i only finished exams a week ago. At first i put the problem down to stress, but its been a week since ive finished and i dont feel any worries.
Thank you very much for your help in advance.

i can't say for sure, but you really should stop smoking if you have asthma. Your lungs are already comprimised without the effects of cigarettes. In fact, they could be contributing to the lack of breath after an exercise....
