CHEMISTRY... very confusing!?

I was taught that to calculate molality (of a solute) the equation is as follows:

Molality (m) of solute = mol solute/kgs of solvent.

(btw im not misspelling molarity, its MOLALITY)

anyway:)..

i got a question like this...

a 6.0835M aquesous solution of acetic acid (C2H402) has a density of 1.0438g cm^-3. Compute its molality.

:S... i dont even know where to began.

Please someone HELP ME! thanx a lot

6.0835 moles oxalic acid = 6.0835 x 60 = 365 grams where 60 is the molecural weight of oxalic acid. 6.035 moles in 1000ml solution. density= 1.0438 g/cc. one cc = 1.0438 grams. 1000 ml = 1043.8 grams. 6.0835 moles ( 365 grams ) solute in 1043.8 grams solution. 6.0835 moles solute in 1043.8 - 365 = 678.8 grams solution 1000 grams solution contains1000 x 6.0835 / 678.8 =8.9 moles solute ..This is the molality of solution.
