Aluminum metal reacts with aqueous sulphuric acid. A student mixes a small piece of aluminum with excess acid and collects the hydrogen gas by downward displacement of water. Temperature of acid is 23 degrees celsius and atmospheric pressure is 102.5 kPa. If student collected 72.5 mL of hydrogen gas, what mass of aluminum metal must have reacted?

Equation:

2Al (s) + 3H2SO4 (aq) ------------- 3 H2(g) + Al2(SO4)3 (aq)
