quick please.? well, i have to verify the formula of a known hydrate. My mind was settled at NiSO4.6H2O but im thinking i might be wrong.

The hydrate was bluish green in colour. After heating, crystallization began to occur, it has turned white, with brownish yellow residue starting to form at the bottom.

My calculations all point towards nickel sulfate. but after researching for a bit, im thinking it might have been the ferrous. So if anyone could help me out, that would be greatly appreciated. I have to hand this in by tomorrow evening. so quick answers would be great. also if u could provide some sort of reasoning for it. And, the colours of the anhydrous form of both would be awesome too since the hydrate are fairly the same colour.

Thanks a lot.
