We did a lab on kinetics study of persulfate iodide reaction last week. We have to figure out the y values and x values. I figured out all the y values with the equation rate = [S2O8^-2]^x [ I ] ^ y. Now I'm trying to figure out the x values with the same equation but my computer program keeps saying I'm wrong.
This is what I'm doing. I need to find the x value for experiments 6 &7.
I take their Rates of Reaction and equal it to the [ I ] values
5.58/1.07 = 1.15/7.69
5.22 = 1.50
then I do ln 5.22/ln 1.50 and I get the asnwer 4.07. But when I put that answer in my spreadsheet it keeps saying I'm wrong. I've checked my work over and over and I'm doing it the same exact way I've did it with all my other X values.
