I was assigned homework, but I can't figure out if this neutralization problem is possible. There doesn't seem to be enough information:
1. How many moles of NaOH are needed to neutralize 30.0mL of 3.0M HNO3?
2. How many grams of NaOH are needed to neutralize 800.mL of 2.00M HCl?
3. How many mL of 0.75M HCl are needed to neutralize 20.0g of NaOH?
I'm wondering if you assume that these NaOH samples are pure, but then they would not be dissociated, and thus a reaction wouldn't occur. Any help would be appreciated.
