Chemistry help please!?

I have a chemistry assignment online, and I can't seem to figure out how to do a few of them. I'd like to do well on it, and to be able to understand it. If you can explain even one it will help a lot.

1.Calculate the quantity of energy produced per gram of reactant for the fision of 241Am (atomic mass = 241.050886 amu)
to form 237Np (atomic mass = 237.040947 amu) and 4He (atomic mass = 4.002603 amu).
Note: For the calculation of this problem, use the absolute value of the mass defect.

2. Can anyone explain beta decay, positron emission, electron capture and alpha decay?

3. 235U is radioactive and therefore undergoes a variety of decays. When 235U undergoes 2 electron capture followed by 2 positron emission a new more stable, element is formed. If a scientist monitored this process and detected that 4500 positrons had been released, how many grams of 235U must have decomposed. The exact mass of 235U = 235.0439 amu.

4.During the explosion of an atomic bomb, one of the reactions is the following fission:
235U + 1n ----> 207Pb + 27Al + X neutrons
Solve for X in this equation and then answer the following question.

If 684 neutrons are released in the reaction, how many grams of 235U must have undergone fission?
The exact mass of 235U = 235.0439 amu.

Thanks a lot!
