mass in grams of 425 mol of sodium atoms?

# of sodium atoms in 425 mol of sodium atoms?

# of sodium stoms in 425g of sodium atoms?

# of moles of sodium atoms in 425g of sodium atoms?

any help would be great..if you caould explain or show work on how you got that answer since i didnt learn...obviously. :) thanks

1 mole of anything contains 6.023 x 10^23 pieces (atoms or molecules); this is called Avogadro's number, and you just have to memorize it.

1 mole of a pure element weighs the same in grams as the element's atomic weight in daltons. 1 mole of a pure compound weighs the same in grams as the molecular weight in daltons. Since sodium has an atomic weight of 23, one mole of pure sodium atoms weighs 23 grams.

First one is # moles * molar weight
Second one is # moles * Avogadro's number
Third one is (mass / molar weight) * Avogadro's number
Fourth one is mass / molar weight

Got it?
