could someone give me a VERY basic step by step explanation as to why
NaHCO3 + HCL --> NaCl + H2O +CO2
Whats going on with the H2O and CO2 why are they there?
I understand the swapping of metals and nonmetals ie. the NaCl part - but not the rest
