I have been waiting months for an update from the nokia site to flash my phone with the Nokia Update Software, So i started it away, did all the usual stuff, fully charge/backup. And started the update, was goin grand for a few minutes then it failed, and now my phone is a brick! So i have to wait until monday to take it to the nokia service centre to sort it out. At least i backed up!
 
you are lucky you have service centers around you, as far as i know we don't have any here in the united states so if our phones get screwed while flashing we really have bricks lol. yea we can send em to the country they were made in but it takes a long time for them to come back plus all the fees etc..
when i was working on my n80 i was sweating bullets cuz my computer be4 the process would sometimes in the middle of transferring files (if the usb cable moved) would say that the device isn't recognized By the way what type of phone do you have?
 
In USA you can call to Nokia Care Contact Center at 1-888-NOKIA-2U (1-888-665-4228) there are a mail too...

Since I have mi N91 I visit Nokia webpage and I've fixed several problems...

(and phones don't loose it warranty if an upgrade fail)
