i understand it's hard, but so are a lot of things...math, gardening, house work, but that does not make them sports.
Put the biased opinions aside people. If you are a cheerleader, obviously you will defend it.

Cheerleading is not a sport, it's a performance, no scoring, but judges. There are no spurr of the moment decisions like tennis, but memrization of placements. Anything with a smile as a requirement should not be considered a sport.
 
Gymnastics is a sport, but cheerleading is like girl scouts. Wear slutty outfits and beg for attention because you have low self esteem. I would NEVER allow my daughter to wear something so inappropriate. Grow up kids, stop slutting and cheering for boys. Get out there and learn what it is like to to something aerobic. Go for a 5 mile run...if you can't accomplish that in a couple of months, then you should stick to cheering for the boys. It is a true look into your future. Get a pole for your room and start practicing. Sorry girls, this is something the boys already know. You are humiliating yourselves and don't have the education to recognize it. WHERE ARE YOUR PARENTS?!
 
hey, watch what u say! cheerleading is a sport- it requires huge ammounts of physical activity. do u think some random person who has not worked out could throw a girl into a stunt? NO WAY! cheerleading is MUCH more than just yealling, GO TEAM, we work out and condition/run 2 days of the week! we also lift other girls, using our muscles. other athletes lift weights, we lift PEOPLE! so yeah, cheering is a sport!

IT is also the sport with the most teenage deaths involved..... just thought i'd say that fyi
