Well me and my friend ( a non cheerleader) have this argument about whether or not cheerleading is a sport. IT IS A SPORT. Any good ways and points to put across to her that it is a sport ?
you warm up for it you use your muscles and also its linked with gymnastics witch is a sport and dancing which is kind of a sport . hope you win the arguement .!
yes, its a sport. it required physical activety and grueling practices. cheerleading requires the same athletic ability of many other sports. we compete just like other sports. there is no reason to say cheerleading is not a sport.
well to tell you the truth I used to think it wasn't a sport, but then my friend begged me to try out for our high schools cheerleading team. Throughout the course of the 3 days of tryouts I discovered that even though I am a young strong girl I was vigorously challenged by a lot of the things they made us do. Example: -everyday before practice we had to run a mile - the flexibility that is required is astounding. everything from splits to toe-touches. - after 2 hours of doing our routines we were all exhausted/ sore -to be one of the teams bases (the girls who throw and catch girls in the air) weight training is required.
Well in my opinion i suppose it is. It involves phsyciall movment in which all sports do. Also its something you train for and get better at with more practise, as with all sports. On the other hand you can ask if running is a sport??? hahaha confuse her. That way, u'll definetly win.
hmmm is running really a sport??? well i mean most sports have the element of running then why not?
I do not think so. In order for something to be a sport there really has to be some sort of defense you are working against. Dont be offended, there are many other things often referred to as sports that are not really sports. Most notably , Golf, Though this may take skill and talent, it is a game and not a sport.
