Check-list app recommendations please?

I finally replaced my faithful old Visor with a T3 a couple of months ago, but I haven't had time until recently to start settting it up for my preferred usage. I'm looking for an effective "to do list" app, and hoping you guys may be able to make some suggestions to help me find the best one for my needs. I keep extensive lists, including what needs to be done room by room in the ongoing renovation of my old Victorian, gardening plans and needed supplies, categorized shopping lists (groceries, home office, online shopping, etc.), general errands and chores, and many others. I hope there are apps out there that can keep my myriad of lists organized more efficiently than the alphabetized categories used by OS5's Task app- maybe by using subcategories or something. I had To Do Plus on my old Visor; are there any newer list apps available that are better? Any suggestions or recommendations will be greatly appreciated!:)
Oh, and I'm a Mac person, so OSX compatability would be a plus if the app has a desktop interface.;) Thanks!
 
The best, Cadillac, "PRIMO" one with a desktop interface (which may only be PC unfortunately but you can check that) is called BONSAI from Natara Software. Absolutely outstanding. Link:

If you don't mind something MUCH simpler with NO DESKTOP interface, there's a freeware app called "Progect" with a "g" on freeware Palm. I used this one until I forked out for Bonsai but there is a world of improvment with Bonsai. Progect is certainly bare bones, but much better freeware than Handmark's "Checklist" and no crashes! It's rather intuitive - to start a new entry you just start writing and it "places" it for you. Takes a little getting used to but it's good for HANDHELD only checklist apps and perfect for your needs.

Either will give you to-do trees, checkboxes, allow branch shortening/cutting/oving, and in Bonsai's case icons as well.

The shining thing about Bonsai is their constant updating WITH NO UPGRADE FEES, and the desktop portion is beautiful, easy to read and clean. Alternate row striping on the handheld and variety of fonts make reading a breeze and I'd go with that one.

When synching, the Bonsai portion of your hotsync takes less than 2 seconds in most cases - very fast - and you can store checklists on an external card. Very, very good application.
