It depends on the bank. They might let you take some money immediately if you leave the balance in the bank.

I am getting a large amount of money from the securities of my bank (20K). If i take it to that bank will the check still take a week to clear? I know this is probably a stupid question cuz its a large amnt but i've never dealt with a check like this and im youngg.
