Check for business names?

My wife is starting her own business soon (as a contractor for the state to provide services to individuals with disabilities) and we would like to know whether the name we have picked out is already in use...how do I check that? We are in Arizona.
 
Google the name she's come up with and see if anything comes up!
or search google maps to see if anything in your area has a similar name to it!
