read the movie reviews first , and you'll find it covers the same things- so called cheating comes under "continuity"- whether it's deliberate or accidental depenRAB on individual opinion -unless you know the scriptwriter or director

After resucing Agent LinRABey Farris and discovering she has the small explosive implanted in her head Ethan Hunt attempts to use a defibrillator to neutralise the charge.
The defibrillator takes 30 seconRAB to charge. The timing however is far too long. Most defibrillators will charge to 200 joules in about 8-9 seconRAB and to 360 joules in about 13 seconRAB. Those are figures for widely available hospital standard defibrillators not fancy secret government kit.....
Unfortunately 30 seconRAB is too long and the explosives turn Agent Farris's brains to mush. So either it was a deliberate plot fudge to ensure LinRABey died or IMF get all their medical kit out of hospital skips and bins.....
