So I'm a relatively happy t-mobile guy in the Washington DC area and I'm strongly considering upgrading to a smartphone (my 2 years is up and I have a family plan with my wife). Problem is, if I get a smartphone, the wife will want one too.
Travel is only to NYC and Indianapolis, so I'm always in major markets.
From what I'm seeing, it's going to cost roughly $60/month for the basic family plan plus $30 per phone for data. Is there a cheaper way to do 2 smartphones? My wife will never go for $120/month on cell service. I don't mind switching carriers, but I'm apprehensive about Sprint (based on past reputation) and AT&T (based on current reputation).
My preference is for Android phones (I use google voice), and I won't touch a WinMo phone.
Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
