What is currently the cheapest package combination that includes HD? A French package maybe? Any hidden/network/access fees?

The Dual Satellite Free Upgrade Pilot Program equips existing customers who would like to subscribe to Nimiq2 programming (but not CAB channels or other free N2 channels*) with the necessary upgrade kit/accessories – free of charge (including all installation charges)
This program replaces the $90 programming credit (mail in rebate)

• Launched June 5, 2006

• Extended until further notice

Eligibility
• Eligible Nimiq2 programming must be added at time of receiver activation/installation. (Note: customers removing their Nimiq2 programming (as long as the standard downgrade policy is respected) after activation/installation will not be penalized, charged back or lose credits already applied as part of this offer)

• Customers wishing to subscribe to a CAB channel or a free N2 channel (such as one offered in free preview) cannot take advantage of this offer

• Customer is still subject to additional receiver rental or purchase charges

• Offer available only once per account

• Professional installation only

Many people testified on the topic Retention departement question that they had the installation of NIMIQ2 done FOR FREE...

When are you gonna finally admit you are wrong?
 
Well Company Hack when I got my AIO 9200 I was charged $100.00 + Taxes and only got a bill credit of $100.00 and NO taxes. I know this different example than the arugument you are having with Nimiq 1, but you are either very miss informed or B.S ing us to death.
 
Cheapest... You go with Digital Standard (31$) and rent an HD receiver (10$ for 6100 and 20$ for 9200). You will get the HD programming free for the first 6 months. You can also suscribe as you are suggesting to the French base, but you'll miss out a lot of English channels. Maybe the Base Num
 
Well I believe Nimiq 1 before the company hack. Programing credits are never free!!!!!!!!!!!
 
You can belive who you wants...I see the bills and Nimiq1 doesn't see them!

Go over the Retetion departement question and read all the post there, you will see that many user are saying, just like me that EXISTING CLIENTS WHO DOESN'T HAVE NIMIQ2 can get our Nimiq2 FREE INSTALL PROMO, where he would have FREE INSTALLATION OF THE UPGRADE KIT AND HD RECEIVER (IF APPLICABLE)
 
1 year...if he is an existing client

2 years if he is a new client to be able to get the free install and new client's promo...he would then get all Express Vu channels free for 2 months, then could choose his package. If he is a new client taught he won't get the 6 months free of HD programming, even if he rents. That promo is for existing clients only

My friend just had an HD TV and receiver installed afew months ago. She had purchased the receiver and was with Express Vu for only a year an a half, still under contract. When she added her HD PVR shehad to pay the upgrade kit on her credit card, and then got refunded on her Express Vu bill.

I was thinking of going rental with a 6100...wanna wait until new receivers are out to buy one of those. I paid a rental certificate (50$) on my credit card. Also paid the upgrade kit (90$ I belive) on that same credit card. The credits for that both appeared on my bill which I received 2weeks after I did the installation. There was no charge for the technician, just as they told me.
No wonder people are complaining about service at BEV. If reps like Nimiq1 come on the site, and when you post here as a rep it's because usually you think you know your job, and misinform clients, they probably misinform the clients on the phone as well. In this case it would be a good surprise for the client (he thinks he'll pay the install and gets it free), but in other cases it could make the client unhappy, therefore causing call backs and supervisor calls
