I made some saddle bag brackets out of 1/4 inch flat bar aluminum.
I wrapped the flap around the bar and riveted it to the outside of the bar then bolted the bar to the fender supports. The flap is sandwiched in between the bar and the chrome fender bracket. I think this method could be used on a lot of other bikes so I thought it would be a good idea to post this.
The bags came with Sportster saddle bag supports and all I had to do was spread them out a little to fit.
I had to put bushings inside the fender brackets in order to bolt the bar on. I threaded the inside of the bushing's.
Next I made turn signal bracket's and bolted them onto the license plate bracket. I had to put bushing's inside some aluminum tubing then support the tubing with angle aluminum. Polished all the part's and it looks pretty good.
