Chatting to a girl I like?

At the end of last academic year, literally on the last day (bad timing I know!) I chatted to this girl who I like and I think she likes me, didn't get her phone number, had no contact with her all summer and went into uni just yesterday and I saw her. To be honest, first I was pretty nervous, it just seemed wierd. I didn't speak to her, she seemed pretty busy and she was with someone else.

Thing is now, she knows I like her, I know when I first talk to herI get nervous, but after a while, I just feel so confident and the conversation will flow and can get along really well with her. How should I approach chatting to her without looking desperate? (not that I am! )
 
I suggest you join in her conversation with someone else. You talk first with the other person and then she will start talking to you instead of otherwise. Maybe you'll be more confident this way.

Or, just start chatting with her...at first you'll be nervous but after many chats you'll be feeling completely natural around her!
