Chat problem in orkut?

One of my orkut friends doesn't have a gmail account, she made orkut account with rediffmail. now she cannot chat. i think a gmail or yahoo account is needed to chat in orkut. now she made a gmail account. now what to do to chat. Should a new orkut profile be created with the gmail acoount.
 
only gmail account holder can chat on orkut

tell ter find that app on orkut page and add
