charging system in my 65 dodge truck doesn't charge.?

I replaced the alternator and regulator and one wire. Negative charge at dash amp meter. Would like a wiring diagram so I can replace all of the charging system wires. Also is there a simple check to see if the regulator is working
 
shorting the two regulater wire together will make the alt. "full field" (charge at the max. rate) you can't leave it like that but it will eliminate the alt. as the problem. [email protected]
