Charging for music, where did it start & why do we let them keep doing it?

I can see a cave man making a toot noise, so I think that is where it all started.
Then he tried it with his lips, and then vocalized it a bit and maybe he hummed a little bit.
Then someone made little noises and music was born.

So when did it start costing you your labor for someone to sing a song?

Why do we keep letting them make this particular type of sense stimulation a pay for thing?

The one caveman would stay up all night entertaining the other cavepeople by humming and when it came time for the hunt the next day he was dead tired. So the other cavepeople went hunting without him and brought him back some mammoth.
