Characters you know that have gotten so full of themselves?

Some shows have characters were they just think so highly of him or herself. One character I know is Norbet from Angry Beavers. As I watched the later seasons I started noticing this in him. He had mirrors all around him, every time Daggett got some self of steam, Norbert always had to knock him down. Some times it could be funny, other times I often felt sorry for Daggett for this reason. Honestly who wants a brother who trys to make you feel bad about yourself?
 
Ben Tennyson from Alien Force is the first character that comes to mind. After he and his team defeated the High Breed at the end of season two, Ben has been so full of himself. He's so sure that he'll be able to handle anything because he saved the universe. He doesn't take a lot of threats serious anymore and he has such a huge ego. I still prefer how Ben was in the first two seasons since he was much less annoying and more interesting to me than how he is now and how he was in the original series.
 
Ash got arrogant on two separate occasions about easily beating particular trainers, only to be defeated by 2 members of the Elite Four.

- Lorelei in the Orange Islands when Cloyster took down Pikachu
- Drake in Hoenn when Shelgon beat Pikachu and Altaria beat Grovyle

And May also got arrogant after she won her first two ribbons, not wanting anyone's advice, and after Bulbasaur lost, she was going to argue to the judges but Joy set her straight.
 
Oddly enough, I totally forgot about those moments. It probably helps that those occasions were easily resolved within each of those episodes, instead of both Ash and May being arrogant for multiple episodes like Ben, and I haven't seen those episodes for ages.
 
Kuzco in Emperor's New School, to the point where he got really annoying and unlikeable. I thought he learned his lesson at the end of the film. That was one reason why I didn't really like Emperor's New School. It didn't really feel like there was a need for a series. Emperor's New Groove is one of my favorite Disney films. I went a little off-topic there but yeah...
 
Even though he's my favorite male character ever, Lelouch from Code Geass definitely got a little full of himself. :D But actually that's why I like him, he's so flashy and grandiose, and he thinks of himself like a god.

Same goes for Light, except that I don't like Light. >_>
 
I never really noticed this. What I saw of the later episodes, they mainly involved Norb's embarrassment at his childlike brother's antics.

You mean like "Dag in the Mirror"? I thought that was a pretty funny episode.
 
Geoff in Total Drama Action, when he hosted the Aftermath with Bridgette. The success of being an talk-show animator was too much for his ego until Bridgette and the others ties him to the electric chair and Geoff see the light.
 
Yes, that was one of the few episodes I was talking about. Like I said, some times it can be funny other times I just felt bad for Dag. I guess yah the plots evolve around Norb and him embarsing his brother thing, than yah I'm going to notice the more fullness in him. Other episodes inlcude The Posei-Dam Adventure, that's the one where Dag and Truckee get stuck in the dam together hand-cuffed with each other. Even Truckee noticed how full of himself Norbet was LOL.
 
That's certainly true. I think that Kuzco had an even bigger ego in the series than he did in the movie. Unlike the movie, he never seemed to learn anything in the series. Regardless of what he did to others, he never completely changed for the better and remained the same in the next episode. At least with the movie, he was more likable and learned from his mistakes.

I'm still waiting for someone to pop his inflated ego,
which is roughly three times the size of the galaxy.

The only other character I can think of right now is Mung Daal from Chowder,
but he's always been a little egotistical.

I think I may remember that Danny from D. Phantom had an episode where he got full of himself,
but I'm not exactly sure if that actually happened.
 
For some reason I like to use the term God character, in which the character thinks so highly of themselves, they can do anything they want,criticize others exposing their faults, think their opinion is above all others, etc....

But on the other hand, of their faults are expose or do something wrong they expect forgiveness.

One character who fits the description and really suffers from an inflated ego
is Lois from Family Guy ever since the shows revival. Her arrogance to others really ticks me off sometimes.
 
That's a good point. However, I felt like his younger self was more cocky than full of himself. He would almost always charge head-first in a dangerous mission, treating it more like a game than anything else. In Alien Force, he acts more over-confident due to his accomplishments, while his younger self couldn't brag about all of the great things he did.
 
He has every reason to be, he can make you eat your parents. Sure Wendy beat him up and Kyle got him to whine after a slap in the arm, but he is still the best.
