Characters you can't believe are played by the same actors?

What cartoon characters that are played by the same actor, but are so different, and you find it hard to believe it is the same guy or girl playing that part. You can better understand when I list some examples.

Ron Perlman - Slade (Teen Titans) and Mr. Lancer (Danny Phantom)

Grey DeLisle - Azula (Avatar: The Last Airbender) and her squeky sounding geek girl characters like Tootie (Fairly Odd Parents) Lizzie (Codename: Kid's Next Door)

If you want to go way back, any Mel Blanc character. His characters all sound like different people, and there is no tell that they are played by Mel. Mel Blanc is the Babe Ruth of voice over actors.

I sometimes find it amazing that Clancy Brown is the voice of Mr. Krabs on SpongeBob SquarePants, when that voice is so different from his Lex Luthor voice.

This one is on the same show.

Jeff Bennett - Brooklyn (Gargoyles) and Owen Burnett ( Gargoyles)

Than deja vue, Jeff does it again a decade later, with the Huntsman (American Dragon: Jake Long) and Johnathan Long (American Dragon: Jake Long)

Speaking of that show, one of Jeff's co stars on American Dragon was Lauren Tom.

Lauren Tom - Jinx and Gizmo (Teen Titans) and all of her other characters. I am amased at her preformance playing Jinx and Gizmo on Teen Titans, they sound very different from each other, but also different from all of her other characters she normally plays. Also props to Tara Strong who took over the roles of Jinx and Gizmo in the last season, and they don't sound that different from Lauren's version.

Here are a few others:

Michael Bell (Zan from Superfriends, Mark from Speed Buggy, Clutch from G.I. Joe)
E.G. Daily (Tommy from Rugrats, Buttercup from PPG)
Frank Welker (Darkseid from Superfriends, and Dr. Claw from Inspector Gadget)
Gary Owens (Space Ghost & Blue Falcon)
Daws Butler (Wally Gator and Bananas from Help! Its the Hair Bear Bunch)
Joe Alasky (Plucky Duck & Duck Dodgers)
Casey Kasem (Robin from Superfriends & Mark from Battle of the Planets)
Norm Alden (Aquaman from Superfriends & Green Arrow from Superfriends)
Don Messick (Hamton Pig from TTA & Droopy from T&J Kids)
Cree Summer (Susie from Rugrats & Elmyra from TTA)
Brad Garrett (Big Dog from 2 Stupid Dogs & Lobo from Superman: TAS)

Did Chris Wiggins ever voice Cheif Quimby on Inspector Gadget?, he was credited as being one of the actors to voice Quimy on wikipedia not to long ago, and now it was changed to Hadley Kay. If so that would be another example of characters I can't believe are voiced by the same actor, he was the voice of No Heart on the Care Bears. No Heart and Quimby? That would be the 80's equiverlents of Ron Perlman's Slade and Mr. Lancer. Ironicly Hadley Kay was the voice Dr. Fright on the Care Bears. Maybe that is the reason for the confussion on wikpedia.

Funny...I usually can tell when characters are voiced by the same actors. Certain actors' voices have a particular 'twang' to them that I can often detect, so I'm rarely surprised by cartoon voice acting.

Not bragging, just saying. ;)

Colleen Clinkenbeard's surprisingly versatile voice never ceases to amaze me: Leclair in Kiddy Grade, Esther in Trinity Blood, Riza Hawkeye in Fullmetal Alchemist.

Cam Clarke played both Prince Adam and He-Man in the 2002 cartoon and gave them both distinct, realistic voices.

The first time I watched "Foster's", I had no idea that Tom Kenny was the voice of Eduardo. Comparing it to his previous roles such as Heffer, Dog, and SpongeBob, it's a rather significant deviation for him.

On "The Simpsons", if you didn't already know that Dan Castellaneta provided so many voices, you probably wouldn't believe half of his credits. With Nancy Cartwright, Hank Azaria, and Harry Shearer, you can usually identify their characters (and Julie Kavner and Yeardley Smith usually just handle Marge and Lisa, respectively), but all of Dan's voices are completely unique. Homer, Grampa, Krusty, Barney, Mayor Quimby, Sideshow Mel, Itchy, Groundskeeper Willie, Hans Moleman, the Squeaky-Voiced Teen, Kodos, and Gil (to name only the most obvious) - there's really no comparison.

Grey DeLisle - Azula in Avatar: The Last Airbender, Frankie in Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends

Tara Strong- Raven in Teen Titans, The 'big baby' in Spirited Away

Here's the biggest contrasts I can find:

Corey Burton (Spike on Transformers to Brainiac on Justice League et al)
Jeff Bennett (Peter Puppy on Earthworm Jim to Brooklyn & Owen on Gargoyles. Or about Petrie from the Land Before Time series to the Huntsman on Freakazoid!)
Rob Paulsen (Yakko and Pinky on Animaniacs to Buck Tuddrussel on Time Squad & Jack on Danny Phantom)
Frank Welker (Megatron and Dr. Claw to Gogo Dodo on Tiny Toons & Ralph on Animaniacs)
Daran Norris (Cosmo to Dad to Jorgen on FOP)

I don't think Grey Deslisle, Cree Summers E.G. Daily, etc. have very much range to their voices... all their characters sound pretty alike.

The same is sort of true to Jim Cummings, Tara Strong and Jeff Bennett to a lesser extent. Tara has a certain tone to her voice but when she does women (as opposed to girls and boys) she sounds pretty different. She loses that light quality to her voice.
