Characters who got stupider as the series went on

I have to say Peter Griffin. He was dumb at first, but now he reach to the level that I look down on him. The thing I really don't like about Peter Griffin, he acts like a dumb 13 year boy....Then acts like his age.
I really don't know why, but I hate when characters in series does that. :sad:
I get it, if it was national, an accident or absentminded. But Peter Griffin got an on and off switch that doesn't work right. Make it, about all the characters in that show has that. :sad: :(
 
Ed from Ed' Edd' N' Eddy. I remember reading that it got so bad at one point that an effort was made in the show's final episodes to make him somewhat smarter (like he was at the first two seasons).
 
Wow, nobody's said it? C'mon, it's the first one that came to mind. Well, okay... I'll only credit you guys since not everyone has seen the season 2 episodes as proof... Zim. No not Gir, ZIM. Although I think Gir just got more annoying throughout the episodes, but Zim went from just lacking common sense to just lacking more than half of a brain. (Or whatever he may have used to think.)
 
I'd say Quick Draw McGraw. While he was never all that smart, it seemed that after a while he couldn't catch any crooks without Baba Looey.

Officer Dibble from Top Cat is another one. While TC always managed to get the best of him, after a while Dibble didn't even seem like a challenge anymore.
 
The villains are mostly the same, except skeletor is more competent, and so is Tri-clops and Evil-Lyn. Unfortuantely, all of skeletor's other soldiers are still complete idiots, so He-man's team still wins just as much as they did in the old show.

When the Snakemen show up, all of whom are competent, they provide serious challenge and get away with what they wanted a few times.
 
I thought Evil-Lyn was always competent. She just wasn't powerful enough to beat He-Man, even the Snakemen weren't. They only got away with what they wanted for a limited time just like Skeletor and his gang. He-Man's crew always came out on top.
 
Spongebob got stupider over time. I have to agree with what everyone else said when he overreacted or was just so happy but he's just so dumb giving his brain to Patrick was just the last straw for me.

Another person was the captain from sealab and Cow they just are too stupid to function for me.
 
You misunderstood what I said. I never thought Evil-Lyn(God that's a stupid name) was incompetent. I was merely listing her as one of the 3 competent people on skeletor's team, including skeletor himself.

As a kid, and even up to recent times, I always thought her name was Evalyn because of the way people said it. But Literally "Evil - Lyn"? come on.

Judging from the robot chicken sketch, i can see that I wasn`t the only one to have this confusion as well.
