Characters voiced by Cartoonists

Back in the '60s Chuck Jones directed a TV special based on the comic strip "Pogo". Not only did Jones voiced some of the characters, but so did Walt Kelly himself. Kelly voiced Albert the Alligator and few others.

Despite Kelly's involvement in the special, however, he ended up hating the result and pretty much disowned it.

Hartman was also the voice of Mr. Weed during the early seasons of Family Guy.

And to add two more to the list, Venture Bros. creators Christopher McCulloch and Doc Hammer provide several roles for the series.

No he wasn't, that was Carlos Alazraqui, the voice of other cartoon characters like Rocko from Rocko's Modern Life and Lazlo from Camp Lazlo.

Tex Avery made some vocal cameos in some of his cartoons, such as the dog in "Bad Luck Blackie" and Santa Claus in "Who Killed Who"

A lot of Adult Swim's originals have characters voiced by staff members, a pretty notable example would be animator C. Martin Croker voicing Zorak & Moltar on SGC2C, and Dr. Weird & Steve on ATHF

I believe it's one of Marvel's policies that if you're going to make an adaptation of a Marvel franchise, Stan Lee must have a cameo.

In the "director's cut version" of Richard Williams' The Thief and the Cobbler, the voice of the thief's hiccuping or other verbal yelps was done by the animators who working on the scene at the time. It is believed even Richard himself contributed his voice to some vocal effects in the movie. I am not referring to the audio of the Miramax or Australian versions (which were completely redone).

In the anime, Excel Saga, Shinichi Watanabe lends his voice to a characture of himself in the Japanese version. Even though he didn't create the show (it is based on a pre-existing manga by Koshi Rikudo obviously), it's possible he had a lot more creative involvement in this anime adaptation than the original manga author did.

In Home Movies creators Brendon Small and Loren Bouchard played Brendon and Josie Small, respectively. And Jon Benjamin played John McGuirk and Melissa Galsky played Melissa. Brendon also plays three of the Dethklok members in his show Metalocalypse, with co-creator Tommy Blacha playing the other two. Also Jonathan Katz plays Dr. Katz in Dr. Katz.

In Aqua Teen creator Dave Willis plays Meatwad, Carl and Ignignokt.

Mike Henry plays Cleveland on Family Guy (well, now the Cleveland Show) and I think he wrote a lot for the show as well.

I wonder if this counts... Matt Chapman, one of the Brothers Chaps, voices almost every single character on homestarrunner.com, that is, Strong Bad, Homestar Runner, The Cheat, Strong Mad, Strong Sad, etc.
