Recess: Vince's brother Chad only appeared in one episode.

Quack Pack: None of the triplets' crushes appeared for more than one episode. Not even the one that moved in next door. Her parents never reappeared either.

Kim Possible: Josh Mankey hasn't appeared since season 3.
 
I was surprised that Will Du, from the Kim Possible episode Number One, never returned. I was sure he was set to come back sometime (and unlike most other fans I actually liked the character), but he never did.
 
The obvious one is Lunch/Launch from Dragon Ball. She disappeared from the manga as soon as the 23rd Budokai finished, but she hung around in the anime during the Saiyan arc. Then, she disappeared shortly after Tien died, only making two appearances afterwards (in a filler scene during the Cell arc, and in a filler bit Toei added during the climax of the Buu arc).
 
Actually a lot of DB/DBZ characters disappeared over the course of late DBZ/Dragionball GT. I mean I don't even remember some characters like Oolong, Tien, Korin, etc even appearing at all in GT. They were pushed out of the way for Goku to hog all the glory... I mean... no that's what I mean actually.:D
 
The rest of the Beagle Boys from Ducktales - Bankjob, Bebop and Babyface. When the new episodes began in the fall of 1989 they were nowhere to be seen, despite the fact that the Beagle Boys were being used more than ever.
 
Actually, Carl (from Johnny Bravo) was never AWOL. AWOL characters are those who have been forgotten about mistankley by the creators/writers and who don't have ANY screentime at all in the later seasons for that reason. However Carl is different. See Season Two Johnny Bravo was done by a different team then the original Johnny Bravo, and Van Partible (Johnny Bravo creator) had nothing to do with the second season or the characters/ character design changes inside. In fact I believe he distinctly hated Season 2 with a passion so when he was allowed to do another JB season (that would end the series) he had Carl cameo only to make fun of him/torture him even worse then Carl was tortured in Season 2. So now you know.
 
In Smurfs season 2, they introduced some new Smurfs like Tracker, Sloppy, and Scaredy. But then they disappeared for the rest of the seasons.

Also in Garfield and Friends, Binky the Clown, Cactus Jake, and the Buddy Bears soon disappeared from the series. They joked that those guys either retired or got traded to other cartoon studios. But then, Binky made a surprise return in the final season.
 
On NBC's Shirt Tales, Rick Racoon was the acknowledged leader of the team (as well as the driver) in season 1, but then he was barely seen in season 2. When the shows' writers bothered to include Rick at all, he was usually relegated to staying behind and "monitoring" the teams' progress, even though the Shirt Tales never needed anyone to monitor them before.
 
EVERY season 1 transformers character who wasnt killed in the movie was missing from season 3 with the exception of the dinobots, constructicons, bumblebee, and soundwave. Gears, trailbreaker, cliffjumper (though that was due to casey kasem leaving), sideswipe, sunstreaker, hound, jetfire, rumble, ravage, all gone in season 3.
 
this really isn't about cartoons but just about every single love interest and non ranger except comedic characters and buisness owner in PR. Same thing goes with most of the trainers Ash and the gang meet in Pokemon.
 
Neither Joe's son or Cleveland Jr. have any actual parts in the new episodes. Cleveland Jr. only appeared in the crowd at the funeral in the Castaway episode, so apparently he left with Loretta. Wikipedia says Kevin's appeared in the background of an episode, but I haven't seen him.
 
Wait, when did she appear in the Cell arc? I don't even remember that one.



There's still no reason why Toei couldn't have put her in more filler. I mean, it seems like Toei really comes up with the lamest ideas for filler sometimes. Why do we need to see Roshi and the Turtle doing something retarded in the middle of a fight? Why couldn't that time be spent seeing what Lunch is up to?
