Characters that are inspired or influenced by famous people

{If anyone asks this isn't the caricature famous people section just for an fyi.}

Now whenever we get introduced to a new animated character we usually sometimes get a copycat of something else. But however there are a few characters that either inspired or influenced by a famous person. Usually by personality...Now as I got back from seeing the princess I thought the character Dr.Facilier was inspired by jazz composer Cab Calloway.

I know One Piece uses that alot. Many characters are either inspired and influence by famous pirates but pirates are not the only ones for example the character Brook mostly resembles Howard Stern, Emporio Ivankov resembles alot like Dr. Frank-N-Furter from the Rocky Horror Picture Show along with the make up that looks like Gene Simmons.

Back in the 90s, pretty much any action movie star parody was a thinly disguised Arnie (slightly less likely was Sly or a mix of the two). Probably the greatest testament to this is Rainier Wolfcastle in The Simpsons (heck, they even used the exact same character model for Arnie in the movie!)

Duke Phillips from The Critic is inspired by Ted Turner only with his Southern-ness (couldnt think or a real term for it) turned up to 11.

Moe's voice from The Simpsons grew out of a bad Al Pacino impression by Hank Azaria.

Stewie's voice was originally based on Rex Harrison, now a days, it's evolved into it's own voice that doesn't sound much like Harrison but in the first 2 seasons of Family Guy, it was much more obvious.

How about archtypes?

Like Ninja Turtle Karate Master guy! There's one in Xiaolin Showdown, American Dragon:Jake Long, Jackie Chan, the list goes on. I'd personally love to see a female kung fu master.

A lot of Hanna-Barbera's stars are based on/parodies of famous people... for example:

- Yogi Bear's voice and mannerisms are based on Art Carney (Ed Norton from the Honeymooners).

- The Flintstones as noted above are based on the Honeymooners (down to Fred resembling Jackie Gleason's Ralph Kramden).

- Doggy Daddy (of Augie Doggy and Doggy Daddy), while based on Spike from the "Tom and Jerry" shorts, is also a take-off of Jimmy Durante.

- Jabberjaw is based on Curly from the Three Stooges, but also uses Rodney Dangerfield's "no respect" line as a catchphrase.

-B.

Also, Azaria's recurring "Wise Guy" voice is an impression of Charles Bronson ("Here's yer problem, somebody set this thing to 'Evil'!").

Mayor Quimby's speech pattern sounds like every Kennedy impression ever done.

Dwayne from Home Movies reminds me a lot of Slash. Wizard Kelly from the Proud Family had to be based on Magic Johnson. Ron from 6teen is just like Christopher Walken, even parodying the dance from the Fatboy Slim video.

That's a famous story they like to tell in Hollywood, but like most showbiz stories, it isn't true. Tink's design was actually based off an actress named Margaret Kerry.
