characters in animation we can't understand but the characters can.

I've noticed it's becoming a bit of a fad now in animation to have a character thats hard to understand and no way we we'll ever undrstand other than the fictional characters.

I don't know if this will be hard to give a description for, I'm sorry if this is more of a list thread but we can try. Feel free to also discuss the topic. It'll be fun discussing it too :)

Some examples are

Kenny Mcormick from south park- The parka mumbles his words and we have tried decoding what he may be saying forever. Yet only his friends can somehow tell what hes saying.

Shnitzel from Chowder- This is an example of a growing fad I noticed on Cartoon Network with characters saying only one word yet the characters can hear them clearly.

Coco from Fosters Home for Imaginary friends- Basically the same situration as shnitzel from chowder. Only difference is she repeats "coco" numerouse times.

Himawara (Crayon Shin Chan) - only one character understands her, but I guess it count. Sometimes Shin understand her babytalk.

Pokemons from Pokemon - most of the time, the trainers understand their Pokemon if they had them long enough.

If you thought that was disturbing. Than you haven't seen the uncensered version of Beauty And The Beach, nor the Saffron City Gym arc. Now that is disturbing.

Basically, Sabrina first shrank the group to doll size and traped them in a fake doll house world. After Ash lost his second rematch, she turned Misty, Brock, and her own mom into actual dolls. She also had a mini version of herself that terrorized them when they were small; I think it was to represent the separation of her childish side from her serious side, or something like that.

Actully I was referring to the whole character of Sabrina. While I did understand where she was coming from, and emphatise with her a little bit with her inner struggles, She was still a very creppy character.

Sorry this got a little off topic, hope I answered your question. My original point, Pokemon trainers understanding their Pokemon is nothing in terms of disturbing or creppy compared to Sabrina.

^I never had any trouble understanding Mushmouth, he just has a serious speech impediment.

I'm gonna show my age here, but another choice would be Ruffled Feathers from Total Television's The Go-Go Gophers. He spoke very un-PC Native American gibberish which had to be interpreted by his companion Running Board (as in "Him say, Oopey-doopey. We have fun.").

Another choice: Wheelie from Wheelie and the Chopper Bunch. He communicated by honking his horn or running his engine, yet all of the others cars and cycles (who were capable of speaking perfect English) had no trouble understanding him.

Eek! The Cat and Sharky The Sharkdog (Eek! Stravaganza): Sharky always communicated with barks and growls, yet Eek, Annabelle, Elmo, Mittens and The Squishy Bearz understood him very well. As for Eek, while his family never did understand him, everyone else (including humans) did.

Gary (SpongeBob): He only says meow (sans 2000's Sleepy Time episode), SpongeBob and everyone else understands him well.
