I'm writing a story but I'm not 100% set on two characters' names and I feel like some suggestions and opinions from a third party would help me out.
Character 1: male, 32 years old, United States Marshal, very serious about his work, very good looking, not at all superstitious, loyal, stubborn, originally from Texas, is an educated man, though he was never very interested in his studies, stern and even condescending at times, despite his ways he is a good man
He is sent to Arizona to deal with a series of suspicious deaths and disappearances and is subsequently attacked by and infected by a werewolf*
His current name is Jim Archer. His surname is a definite, but I'm not completely into Jim.
Character 2: female, 19 years old, daughter of the late town marshal of Vivian, Arizona, headstrong, raised by a single father thus giving her some slightly masculine mannerisms, not very superstitious but believes the thing tormenting her town is more than a man, very determined
Her father was killed by the werewolf that has been terrorizing the town.
Her current name is Bella Beausoleil, which I really like, but it's too Twilight-esque, what with werewolves and a girl named Bella
Please no links or rants. I just want your opinions on the current names and suggestions if you think there is a better name.
I probably should have said this takes place in the 1870s, so names would have to be time period appropriate.
*The "werewolf" in the story is sort of a combination of the popular Western idea of werewolves and the Navajo Yenaldlooshi or Skin Walkers
