About Channel4 News last night. The undercover reporter in Burma made the point that it wasn't safe for him to be reporting and filming as he hid in a car. So it seemed odd when various inhabitants were filmed - talking to camera - faces clearly visible and sufficient background scenery to identify the village/town. If it's not safe for the repoter - it's not safe for the people !

I know the rulers probably have more on their minds to contend with right now - but thats not the point.

Recent undercover filming in Zimbabwe disguised the local people's faces and seemd to be filmed against a plain background.

What's your view. Was this irresponsible reporting?

Reporters found in Burma will be arrested and possibly be deported. It's very hard to get reporters into the country so those that are there have to be extremely cautious or they'll get thrown out and no-one will know what is going on in there.
