changing your number with verizon

I understand there is a $15 fee in this, but can I pick a new number or is one just assigned to me?

What if I ask for an easy number?

is there any ways to buy an easy number online then port it to verizon???

more over, if I dail a number I want, and its non working, cant I get it???

You do not get to pick the number, you can only choose the Area code which you want the number out of.

AFAIK cell phone carriers are given a block of numbers by the FCC or some agency like that - to give out to their customers. So if that number is not in their assigned block, i doubt youll be able to get it.

But then again, i may be way off track here.

I have never heard of anything as far as buying a number...
