Hi,
I have a peugeot hybrid, from the late 90s (I think) and have looked all over for it on the internet, and as yet can't find a trace of it, or much similar for that matter. The only clue I have as to it's identity, is a paintjob with the decal 'MEGA' on the side, and the peugeot logo on the front, and a serial number on the frames underside, but it has rusted slightly, and so I cannot fully read it.

I am wanting to buy a suspension seat post for it, because it doesn't have a suspension itself and besides, it's fairly nippy and I've become somewhat attached to it.
The problem is, I cannot find the diameter of the seatpost stamped anywhere on the current seatpost, or on the bike itself. , and because I haven't a clue what bike it is, it isn't documented either.

I have given it as best a measurement i can, and have concluded that the inside circumference of the seatpost is 26.0mm.
The problem is, I haven't yet seen ANY suspension seatposts that bear this figure, the closest I have found is a 26.8mm seatpost.
I'm wondering... is it wise to use that diameter seatpost? Would it even fit in at all?

Any suggestions/solutions?
Thanks!

Take the seat post to the bike shop, they will be able to match it. If you started riding give your butt a week or two to get use to the saddle, a spring seat post wont help that.

This may help.
