Okay. So I've discovered how to change that hideous icon, but the problem is it downloaded with that white square background behind it, in contrast to my other icons that are, you know, background-less. I have a Macbook Pro, by the way. I am not very computer savvy, frankly I'm surprised I've gotten myself this far- so how would I go about getting rid of this background?
