It's that time to replace the chain and sprockets again, but I was thinking about going with a different set of sprockets. I would like the RPM's to be lower when I am driving 70 MPH. I wouldn't mind the lose in acceleration. Which way do I change them? Larger front/smaller back? Or smaller front/larger back? Or if you think this is a bad idea let me know and why.
Also, if anyone could estimate the drop in RPM's (if that is possible) so I could even tell if it would be worth it. The RPM's run at 4,900 right now, i'd like it to be around 4,000-4,500 if that is possible.
I am also wondering if anyone has done this before and how it went for you so post your stories.
Thank You!
