So my car has just 30,600+ miles.
New, bought in June 2006 with usual trips that consist of 8+ hrs at one time cpl times a month.
Currently I use a 5w-30 Valvoline motor oil. Would it be ok to
change it to a more higher performance oil due to the long trips or to
stay with the same until later on miles wise.
I was just wondering, right now I think everything is ok but I like to
keep the car at its best performance to reduce any engine wear or mishaps. Also knowing there's a lot of different oils to possibly
add in it can be a head scratcher to think of what oil would be the best for long live or what oil can give the best in milage and such.
After any answers here I will consult the dealership with their thoughts but I would like some knowledge prior to going in.
2006 Hyundai Elantra GLS 4door.
Thanks.
