Having trouble changing the message tone on my samsung tocco lite. I know how I'm supposed to be able to do it...

>Settings
>Phone Profiles
>Arrows beside Normal
>Select New Message from the drop down menu
>Go to Sounds on the Message Alert Tone drop down menu..
I've searched on a few sites and there's a number of people having the same problem, and the only answer they are getting is these steps. But this isn't the problem. The problem is that when I go into sounds the ring tones that I want (my own songs that I have put on the phone from my computer) aren't there. I've put them in a number of different places and tried again but no luck. But when I choose Incoming Call from the drop down menu, they ARE there.
Does anybody know why this is happening, and how to fix it?
